It’s been a while since I talked about my alma mater. The only time I made a post about MSOE’s Senior Design show was four years ago. Too bad I never wrote about my senior design project (I graduated in 2008). But then again, I was busy moving out of college and starting a job and all that jazz, so it’s understandable that my site was low priority.
But I feel like mentioning it this year.
If you happen to be in Milwaukee, feel free to check out MSOE’s Senior Design Show on Friday, May 28th. Students from all forms of engineering, business, and nursing will showcase their final projects before they graduate and walk on stage to receive their diplomas.
There’s a brochure with more information, including a description of all the senior projects.
I don’t really know about any of the projects, but I’ll skim through and pick out a few at random:
- Air Clock. It’s a 40-LED clock display that can be controlled with an infrared remote.
- HydraP2P. Extensible Multiprotocol Peer-to-Peer Client. It’s a P2P networking client that consists of several different interchangeable modules.
- Wall-Climb Exercise Machine. It is what it sounds like. They created a machine for exercising the upper body.
- WOWDPS. It’s a World of Warcraft damage calculator written in Silverlight. Lol, interesting.
