DC Comics

Superheroes are awesome.

Anyone like DC Comics? I love superheroes! I don’t read comics that much, but I love watching DC and Marvel movies and TV shows. DC’s my favorite, and while I’m sad that the string of animated television series known as the DCAU has ended,  I’ve been quenching my appetite with DC’s recent string of direct-to-DVD movies.

Here are a bunch of trailers if you’re interested in seeing any of them!

Justice League: The New Frontier

I didn’t like this as much as the Justice League animated series, but it was still fun to watch. This movie has a much older feel than the style that the DCAU series have taken.

Superman: Doomsday

Loved this one. I never read the Doomsday storyline, so it was cool to see an animated version of it. In case you didn’t know: The Doomsday storyline is when Superman DIES. o.O

Batman: Gotham Knight

Have you ever seen The Animatrix? Batman: Gotham Knight has the same exact feel: It’s a bunch of cool different takes on Batman. Kevin Conroy (the voice actor who’s voiced Batman for the past 20 years) reprised his role in the movie. It was awesome. I wasn’t aware of it when I watched it, but this movie supposedly takes place in-between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Wonder Woman

I haven’t seen this one yet, but it looks good. I wasn’t a fan of New Frontier’s Wonder Woman, but I think I’d like this version!

Green Lantern: First Flight

This movie was pretty sweet. I wish they would make a TV series out of this! Green Lantern is pretty bad-ass in this movie.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

Superman and Batman team up as President Lex Luthor attacks them with a band of superheroes. Kevin Conroy (Batman), Tim Daly (Superman), Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor), and a few other voices from the DCAU series are in this movie. Definitely one to watch if you’re a fan. ^_^

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths

I just bought this one recently. I liked this one a lot better than the previous Justice League movie. I was disapponted that none of the DCAU voices were in the movie, but the whole “evil counterpart” thing is always fun to watch.
