Androids on skateboards! =o

Remember how I said that if you wanted Google Maps Navigation on your Cliq, you’d have to wait for T-Mobile to roll out an upgrade? Well, it looks like that’s about to happen!

Well, eventually.

I noticed this morning that my Motorola Cliq (or CLIQ, depending on whether or not you want to follow Motorola’s convention of capitalizing everything) was downloading some system update. Engadget noticed as well, and their post led me to their previous post about Motorola’s supposed Android upgrade rollout schedule. If this is true, then all Cliq users should be getting Android 2.1 sometime this year. Woot! ^_^

In case you’re wondering what Android 2.1 has that we Android 1.5 Cliq owners don’t have, here’s a list of features:

• Support for multiple Google accounts
• Updated browser with HTML5 support
• Updated Android Market
• Updated camera with digital zoom and scene mode
• Access to apps such as Google Maps Navigation

I’m looking forward to the (hopefully) eventual update. :D
