I never update my website, do I?
It’s been several months, but being a full-time college student with a part-time job doesn’t give me much free time. I also don’t have fast Internet access at home, so during the summers I spend back in Mississippi, I’m rather helpless at posting updates.
As usual, I changed the site theme; I hope you like it. Send me an email if you have suggestions on how to make my site better.
In other news, I’ve fallen in love with a few Firefox plugins:
- IE Tab
- If you’re a standards-conscious web designer, you definitely know that Internet Explorer is a bad boy. This plugin makes it easy for you to check your pages against IE to catch and hack your way around those terrible IE bugs.
- del.icio.us
- Most of you probably aren’t familiar with the likes of del.cio.us, Digg, Furl, or Newsvine. Those are just a few examples of social bookmarking sites, which allow you to store or share a list of links online. It’s more convenient than a “My Favorites” or “Bookmarks” list in your web browser, since these sites let ou access your links from any computer with an Internet connection. Del.icio.us just happens to be my bookmarking site of choice.
- Web Developer
- I saved the best for last. Web Developer gives you a variety of neat little tools to help you with your web development chores. Curious if a site you’re visiting has valid CSS and HTML? Want a visual cue of where all the anchors, tables, headers, or links are located on a page? Feel like editing a website just for fun to see how it would look? This Firefox plugin lets you do all those things, and of course, more.
Maybe that wasn’t of interest to you; I’ll try to find more interesting things to talk about later.
